

Many of you have been asking for a public roadmap for Inventor over the past couple of years. Many of you have been using Inventor since day one. This past September marked 20 years of Inventor in the market. The Inventor team at Autodesk is excited to release their public roadmap. With the latest update, Autodesk has improved how constraints are recognized and added the ability for sub-assemblies to be supported in the stack-up detection. Last year Tolerance Analysis inside of Inventor was added for Product Design and Manufacturing Collection subscribers.

Autodesk has now added the legacy behaviour of Undirected as a default option. And you let Autodesk know you liked the new options, but still wanted the ability to select legacy default behaviour. With prior updates, they had added additional options when performing an Axis-Axis Constraint. Content filtering, content placement, route definition, and in canvas interaction have all been improved.
